K-Lite Mega Codec Pack เป็นโปรแกรมที่จะช่วยให้เราสามารถดูหนังฟังเพลงได้ทุกไฟล์ โปรแกรมนี้เป็นโปรแกรมที่ทำการรวบรวม codec ที่มีใช้งานในปัจจุบันไว้มากที่สุด ซึ่ง codec เป็นเสมือนไดร์เวอร์ที่จะทำให้โปรแกรมจำพวกดูหนังฟังเพลงสามารถถอดรหัสไฟล์หนังและไฟล์เพลงได้ ถ้าหากใครมีปัญหาเปิดไฟล์หนังหรือไฟล์เพลงบางไฟล์ไม่ได้ ก็น่าจะมีสาเหตุมาจากไม่มี codec ที่จำเป็นในการเปิดนั่นเอง โปรแกรมนี้ได้มีการใช้งาน codec ที่สามารถทำงานกับโปรแกรมดูหนังทั่วไป แต่โปรแกรมก็มีการแถมโปรแกรม Media Player Classic Home Cinema มาให้ด้วย ซึ่งเป็นโปรแกรมดูหนังขนาดเล็กที่สามารถทำงานร่วมกับ codec ชุดนี้ได้เป็นอย่างดี
K-Lite Codec Pack Full is a collection of VFW or ACM codecs DirectShow filters and tools. Codecs and DirectShow filters are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video formats. The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files.
